On Feb. 17, AMVETS Post 83, Lansford, reorganized and officers were installed.

Susan McPherson, Eastern Region commander, was in charge of the meeting. Jeffrey Elliot, department judge advocate, was there to ensure AMVETS Nation, State and Post bylaws were followed.The following officers were installed: Michael R. Frey, post commander; Stephen Banditelli, first vice commander and trustee; Stephen Redash, second vice commander; Kerry Lesniak, adjutant and finance officer; Perry Shelton, judge advocate; John Eichel, provost marshal; and Paul Madre Sr., service officer.The next meeting of the AMVETS Post 83 will be on March 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the post home.All regular members, Sons of the AMVETS, and Ladies Auxiliary are asked to attend.
