Experience the true reason for the season this weekend when St. John's Lutheran Church, 319 South Ave., Jim Thorpe hosts the third annual Creche/Nativity Display on Saturday, Dec. 11 and Sunday, Dec. 12 from noon to 5 p.m. each day.

There will be approximately 200 different nativity displays from members of the congregation.

The display will include a variety of international nativity scenes from such countries as Germany, Italy, France, Ireland, Portugal and more.

The various nativities are composed of glass, ceramic, wood, terra cotta, and plastic as well as other materials, with some dating back to the early 1890s.

The public is welcome to visit this weekend and experience the true meaning of the season.

Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.
