Janel Semmel, daughter of Ron and Diane Semmel of Lehighton, became the bride of Phillip Santore of Lehighton, son of Angelo Santore Sr. and Christine Santore of Nesquehoning, on July 9, 2010 at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in a double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Gina Nailor, as matron of honor.

Angelo Santore Jr., brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Ring bearers were Mitchell and Mason Nailor.

A reception was held at the Orioles Community Center in Lehighton. The couple honeymooned at Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa.

The new Mrs. Santore holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Shippensburg University. She is working on a master's degree in reading from East Stroudsburg University. She is employed as a fifth-grade teacher in the Pleasant Valley School District.

Mr. Santore holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Duquesne University, and a bachelor's degree in business/finance from the University of Phoenix. He is employed as a math teacher at Youth Services Agency of Jim Thorpe.

The newlyweds reside in Lehighton.
