Rebecca Milligan weds Donald Boran III

Plains United Methodist Church, Plains, was the setting for the May 15 wedding of Rebecca Marie Milligan of Plains and Donald Boran III of Tamaqua. The double ring ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Paul Amarra. Jack Psolka was the organist.

The bride is the daughter of Theresa Milligan of Plains and the late Richard Milligan, who passed away May 12, 2010.Given in marriage by her uncle, Robert Milligan of Plains, the bride was attended by Tracy Hall of Newark, Del., as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Milligan of Plains, Colleen McCabe of Tamaqua and Tricia Hollas of Sweet Valley.The groom is the son of Donald, Jr., and Patricia Boran of Tamaqua. Best man honors were performed by John Boyer of Farmington Hills, Mich. Mike Skwiat of Lakewood, N.J., Tom McCabe of Tamaqua and Keith Milligan of Plains served as ushers.The newlyweds received family and friends at Carmen's Country Inn, Drums, before leaving on a wedding trip to Hershey.The new Mrs. Boran is a 1994 graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. She earned an AAS in the physical therapist program at Keystone College and a bachelor of science degree in health care management from Misericordia University.She is employed by Genesis Rehab Services at Little Flower Manor, as a physical therapy assistant.Mr. Boran is a 1997 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Tamaqua, and a 2001 graduate of Marywood University, earning a bachelor's degree in business administration.He is employed by Sovereign Bank, Tamaqua, as a personal banking representative.A bridal shower was held March 27 at Edgewood in the Pines.The couple is residing in Plains.
