A Berks County motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville said the accident occurred about 9:54 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, along SR443 in East Brunswick Township.

Troopers said David R. Yerkes, 27, of Reading, was operating a 2010 Harley-Davidson cycle eastbound, east of Pine Creek Road, when he lost control. The bike went onto the left berm and came to rest.

Yerkes was taken by ambulance to the Reading Hospital for treatment of a broken leg, troopers said. Troopers noted he was wearing a helmet.

State police at Lehighton reported on three incidents of criminal mischief, two occurring a short distance from each other.

Troopers said Marissa Andrews, 25, of Jim Thorpe, reported someone damaged the passenger side window on her vehicle, a Ford Focus. The incident occurred along SR248 near State Road, in Franklin Township, Carbon County, about 9:30 p.m. on March 28.

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported the arrest of a Schuylkill County woman following a domestic incident.

Troopers said about 7:08 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, Sandra Stoever, 18, of Tuscarora, arrived at the residence of Travis Gruzdis, 24, of 84 Coal St., Port Carbon, to pick up her personal belongings.

Gruzdis and Stoever became involved in a verbal argument. During the argument Stoever allegedly threw a kitchen plate at Gruzdis.

She will be cited for harassment, troopers said.

Lehighton Police Department charged Gary Caprio, 48, of 103 S. Sixth St., Lehighton, with corruption of minors and disorderly conduct and a 12-year-old male has been cited with harassment and disorderly conduct.

Police said that on Feb. 24, 2011, at approximately 3:35 p.m., the 12-year-old exited the vehicle Caprio was driving and chased an 11-year-old male. After making contact with the 11-year-old, the older male kicked, punched and pushed the younger boy to the ground.

John Lamp, 31, of Kunkletown, R. 3, was charged by Lehighton Police Department with criminal attempt to commit acquisition or obtaining of possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, forgery and criminal attempt to commit theft, as a result of submitting a fraudulent prescription to First National Pharmacy, North First Street, Lehighton on Nov. 7, 2011.

The charges were filed on Nov. 23, 2011 and an arrest warrant was recently served upon Lamp on March 20, 2012.

Lehighton Police Department charged two 13-year-old Lehighton boys with criminal conspiracy to commit theft after they stole $550 from a purse of a teacher in the Lehighton Area Middle School. One of the two males was also charged with possessing a weapon on school property after a pocket knife was found when the students were searched.

Lehighton Police Department charged Eugene Sillers, 23, of 132 S. Third St., Lehighton, with unlawful possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. On Nov. 10, 2011, police were called to his residence for a suspected drug overdose. Upon receiving results of evidentiary items found at the scene, charges have been filed.

Kidder Township police reported on the following citations issued by officers.

On March 22 about 10:05 a.m. Harry Devine, of Albrightsville, was cited for going 49.8 miles-per-hour, in a 35 zone on Lake Drive; and the same date at 12:05 p.m. Ben Tatum, of Blakeslee, was cited for going 46.2 mph in a 35 zone on Lake Drive.

A Monroe County driver was cited following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 12:44 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, in front of 722 Kuhenbeaker Road, in Long Pond.

A Nesquehoning man was jailed on Thursday, March 29, after being arrested for entering vehicles in the borough and removing items. It is not the first time he has been charged with such crimes.

Borough police served a search warrant on Michael John McFadden, 23, at his residence at 318 E. Catawissa St. Found in the home were narcotics and property stolen in the vehicel break-ins.
