Four teenagers suffered minor injuries in a crash on Lovitt Road in Towamensing Township on Sept. 1.

According to state police at Lehighton, the crash occurred at 11:55 a.m. when a 17-year-old boy lost control of the Pontiac Sunfire he was driving around a sharp curve. The car spun 180 degrees across both lanes and struck a tree.

The car was also carrying four other boys: Two 14-year-olds, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old who was not injured.

Only the driver was wearing a seat belt, according to police. The driver was charged, but the charges were not released.

Citations were issued following a one-vehicle accident along Interstate 81 South.

The crash occurred on Sept. 4, at 8:18 a.m., at the southbound ramp to SR309, McAdoo, Kline Township, Schuylkill County.

According to State Police at Frackville, Angelo R. Pozzessere, 23, of Tresckow, was traveling south in a 2012 Jeep Liberty, when he failed to negotiate a left curve. The Jeep traveled southwest off the roadway and its passenger side front end made impact with a guiderail. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of 13 truck tractor batteries from a North Manheim Township business sometime between July 15 and Aug. 22.

The batteries were in abandoned trucks on the property of Otto's Amusements, Keystoker Lane.

Police ask that anyone with information about the theft call them at (570) 593-2000.

State police at Lehighton are investigating a bizarre incident in which someone put an egg inside a Kunkletown woman's mailbox, surrounded it with solar lights and wrote something police aren't saying what in marker on the mailbox.

The incident happened between 3 p.m. Aug. 28 and 3 p.m. Aug. 29 at 160 Potato Path Rd. The mailbox belongs to Cynthia Nunez, 48.

No injuries were reported following a one-vehicle accident in Upper Macungie Township.

According to State Police at Fogelsville, the crash happened on Aug. 31, at 11:25 a.m., along Interstate 78 Westbound, near mile marker 49.6.

Upon investigation, it was determined that the crash occurred as Anthony A. Dorney, 22, of Breinigsville, driving a 2005 Pontiac GTO, was traveling west in the right lane of I-78 when he began to fall asleep. As he approached the SR100 interchange, he woke up just prior to impacting a guiderail head on.

An Effort woman was charged after triggering a three-car crash on Route 115 at Mountain Road in Saylorsburg on Sept. 2.

Samantha Rios failed to stop within a safe distance at 4 p.m., striking a car driven by Catherine-Jean Boehm of Saylorsburg. Boehm's car was pushed into one driven by Philip J. Kelly, also of Saylorsburg, according to state police at Lehighton.

The damages were minor, and there no injuries, police said.

A New Tripoli man faces a charge of driving under the influence.

Matthew Robert Fick, 22, of Werley's Corner Road, was driving on Camp Meeting Road at Log Cabin Road in Lynn Township at 1:09 a.m. Sept. 1 when a state trooper from the Fogelsville barracks noticed he failed to stay in his own lane.

Fick was stopped, and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was arrested and taken to the Lehigh County DUI Center, where he consented to a blood test.

Charges are expected to be filed upon receipt of the test results.

An Albrightsville man is in trouble for driving under the influence, resisting arrest and other crimes.

Thomas Edwin Kram, 31, who was wanted by police on numerous warrants from Monroe and Northampton counties, was driving on Jaclyn Drive at Meixell Valley Road at 1:35 p.m. Sept. 4 when Trooper Sofranko of the state police at Lehighton stopped him. Kram resisted arrest.

He is in Monroe County prison on the warrants. Charges are pending.

The Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of radiators.

According to state police, the incident happened sometime between Aug. 28 and Sept. 1, at 1001 Deep Creek Road, Barry Township, Schuylkill County. During that time, someone stole approximately 25 radiators out of 1930s to 1960s model vehicles from the location, owned by Virden H. Header, 85, of Ashland.

An elderly Wind Gap man was arrested on a shoplifting related warrant after a traffic stop Aug. 31, according to the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department.

James Hansen, 79, was stopped for a moving violation at 4:21 p.m. on Route 611 at the airport in Tobyhanna when a warrant check revealed the warrant, out of Berks County. The warrant was issued after Hansen failed to show up for a court hearing on retail theft.

He was arrested and taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
