Two Schuylkill County residents were cited for harassment following an incident that occurred on Friday, Jan. 7, about 3:15 p.m.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Anthony J. Richardson, 21, and Sarah J. Lenker, 18, both of Tower City, were at 342 Dietrich Ave., Porter Township, where they became involved in a verbal argument over food. The argument turned physical when Lenker pushed Richardson in the kitchen and then Richardson pushed Lenker into a refrigerator. Richardson then spit in the face of Lenker.

The Lehighton police announced the issuance of several citations recently.

Leanne Scott, 36, of White Pine Lane, Lehighton, was cited for allegedly issuing a bad check in the amount of $23.25 to Mallard Market in Lehighton on Nov. 23.

Three individuals were cited for disorderly conduct as a result of a fight on Aug. 30. They are Shana Hricik, 19, of 1203 Mahoning Mountain Road, Geraldine Halada, 20, of 841 Beaver Run Drive, and Cory Schlier, 23, of 1573 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive East, all of Lehighton.

Rush Township police report that James P. Vidzicki, 43, of New Philadelphia, is facing driving under the influence (DUI) and other traffic charges after crashing his vehicle into a snow bank on Taggertsville Road on Dec. 27 at 9:27 p.m.

Vidzicki was taken back to the police station for a breath test. The test results were .137 percent.

A Tamaqua woman has been cited for disorderly conduct after refusing to turn down the volume on her television Friday morning.

Officers were dispatched multiple times Thursday night into Friday morning to 34 N. Greenwood St. for reports of loud music.

Stephanie Steff, 26, resident, first turned down the volume when requested to do so. Officers were called back at 1:15 a.m. when Steff cranked up the volume. When officers arrived, she began an argument. She continued to be confrontational, earning her a citation.

Two persons were injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, along SR1006 (Burma Road), in Blythe Township, near the Ryan Township line.

State police at Frackville said Norman Mease, 64, of Pottsville, was driving a 1995 Dodge Neon southbound when he lost control while rounding a curve. The car went onto the berm and hit a tree head-on.

Mease was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., and his passenger, Jean Hullihan, 53, also of Pottsville, was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., both in Pottsville.

Lansford police are seeking information on a possible stabbing that may have occurred in the early morning hours of Dec. 29.

Officer Chris Ondrus said that Officer Brian Zulic was dispatched to the 200 block of East Ridge Street on a report of a large amount of blood on a sidewalk and a sport utility vehicle, and a bloody knife. The bloody trail led from the middle of the block to the intersection of Ridge and Walnut streets.

Officer Dave Midas, Det. Jack Soberick and Summit Hill Officer Lori Leinhard assisted in examining the scene and interviewing neighbors.

State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Monroe County residence.

Troopers said the home of Timothy Tracy, 52, of SR534, in Kresgeville, Polk Township, was entered on Dec. 29. Removed was a .22-caliber pistol and various custom jewelry.

Several acts of criminal mischief are under investigation by Tamaqua Police.

Bruce Jones of Clearview Crossing, Tamaqua, reportedly had the side windows of his Ford F150 pick up truck shattered on Jan. 1, while parked in the 300 block of Market Street.

Someone also damaged nine shrubs owned by the South Ward Fire Company. The shrubs are located at the east edge of the company's property, acting as a buffer between a driveway and the LCCC parking lot. Total value of the damage was estimated at $387. The damage was discovered on Jan. 2.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating egg-throwing incidents that occurred on Thursday, Jan. 8, in Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said about 1:30 a.m. unknown persons arrived at 58 Lake Terrace Drive, and threw eggs at the residence which is owned by Daniel J. Becker, 59. The eggs broke a portion of a window shutter on the front of the home.

At 2 a.m. eggs were thrown at the home of David Muldowney, 39, of 67 Oak Grove Road. At 2:10 a.m. the home of Gary Townsend, 35, of 177 Sweet Arrow Lake Road, was struck by eggs causing damage to a window.
