Harassment

Elizabeth Perschy, 50, of 432 Franklin Avenue, Palmerton, was cited for harassment. The violation occurred on July 18 at 8:47 p.m. in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue.

Disorderly conduct

Andrew Koma, 29, of 301 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, was cited for disorderly conduct. The violation occurred on June 6 at 1 a.m. in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue.

A Schuylkill County woman was jailed for assault following a domestic incident.

State police at Frackville said troopers responded to the residence at 232 Florida Ave., Shenandoah Heights, West Mahanoy Township, about 7:52 a.m. on Sunday, July 22, for a domestic disturbance. On scene troopers learned that Tami Lynnanne Grady, had struck Joseph Paul Alshefski, both of that address, in the face several times causing injuries to his face.

State police at Lehighton reported the results of a sobriety checkpoint, and roving DUI patrols conducted July 21-22 on various roads in Carbon and Monroe counties.

Seven motorists were arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), of alcohol and controlled substance.

A Lehigh County teen was killed in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 10:59 p.m. on Friday, July 20, along SR309, under the Interstate 78 overpass in Lower Macungie Township.

State police at Fogelsville said William David Bickford, 19, of Orefield, was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt southbound and negotiating a left hand curve when he lost control. The car went onto the east shoulder and impacted into a barrier under the overpass.

On Friday, June 15, Tamaqua police was dispatched to the intersection of North Greenwood and Mauch Chunk streets for a fight.

When officers arrived they found Anthony Houser, 22, Tamaqua, lying on the ground between two vehicles. Officers noted he had a strong smell of an alcoholic beverage and had cuts and bruises on his body.

A road rage incident in which two women sustained injuries, is being probed and four suspects are being sought. State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred along Jonas Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, about 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 21.

According to troopers Jacalyn Cady McLeennan, 22, of Perkiomenville, Montgomery County, and Kristin Joy McLennan, 30, of Effort, were stopped by another vehicle at the above stated location and time.

Three drivers are facing driving under the influence (DUI) charges in separate incidents reported by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said Benjamin David Philhower, 33, of East Stroudsburg, was stopped for a traffic violation about 2:30 a.m. on Friday, July 20, along SR209, south of Weir Lake Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.

State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 11 p.m. July 17 and 5:30 a.m. July 18 at a residence in Lower Towamensing Township.

The victim is Denise Eileen Frable, 56, of 510 Hahn's Dairy Road, Palmerton.

She reported someone damaged a window screen on her residence.

State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the theft of two signs from residences in Polk Township.

The one incident was reported at 3 p.m. July 14.

The victim is William Bock of Kunkletown.

He told police someone stole a "Rustic Road" street sign from his property along the road.

The second incident happened between 10 p.m. July 13 and 7 p.m. July 16.

That victim is Steve Faielle, 60, of Kunkletown.

He told police someone removed a green "Honeybee" road sign from his property at 119 Honeybee Lane in the township.

John Harkins IV, 34, of Lehighton, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a traffic stop made by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 9:53 p.m. July 4 on Route 248, near the Palmerton ramp in that borough.

Police said he was stopped for a violation (driving on roadways laned for traffic), after which a series of field sobriety tests were administered that indicated he was driving while intoxicated.
