State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one vehicle crash about 8:54 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, along Kunkletown Road, in Ross Township, Monroe Couny.

Troopers said Randolph J. Lagler Jr., 38, of Saylorsburg, was eastbound when, for unknown reasons, he traveled into the oncoming lane and off the left side of the road and into a cement wall at 1721 Kunkletown Road. The property is owned by Dale A. Flamisch, 57, of Nazareth, troopers said.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an assault incident that occurred at a home in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said the incident occurred about 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, along Fishbach St., Seltzer, in Norwegian Township. Troopers said several suspects arrived in a car at the time stated. Five exited the car and approached Amber Barnes, 30, of that address, and grabbed her by the hair and began to strike her in the face.

A 13-year-old female, who was inside the home, came out to try and stop the assault and she was also assaulted.

A Lehighton man is facing drug charges following an incident in Mahaoning Twonship.

Township police said on Sunday, Oct. 14, they received a report from Lehighton police indicating James Jones, 33, and his girlfriend, Naomi Ellison, had been using false names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers during emergency room visits at various hospitals throughout Carbon, Lehigh, and Schuylkill counties to obtain prescriptions for pain killers.

Mahoning Township police reported investigating a two vehicle crash about 2:42 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, along SR443 at Chapel Drive.

Police said a 2013 Nissan Altima, driven by April Loeper, of Sheppton, Luzerne County, was stopped in the westbound lane waiting to make a left turn onto Chapel Drive. While stopped her car was rear-ended by a 2007 Nissan Altima, driven by Joseph Kulha, of Tamaqua. One person was transported by ambulance to Gnaden Huetten Hospital for treatment of a minor injury, police added.

A Slatington woman was victim of a theft from vehicle incident.

State police at Fogelsville said the parked vehicle of Nicole Marie Pitosky, was entered while parked at 8000 Kings Highway, in Lynn Township. A window was broken to gain entry and removed was items, no specified by troopers.

The incident occurred sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

A Tamaqua driver escaped injury in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 11:25 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, along Tumbling Run Road, a mile west of Mountain Road, in Blythe Township.

State police at Frackville said Bryanna Harvey, 23, was driving a 2004 Volkswagen Golf eastbound when she lost control. The car went onto the berm and hit a drainage ditch then hit several small trees head-on, where it came to rest.

The car sustained heavy damages, troopers said. Assisting troopers at the scene were volunteers from the Kaska Fire Company and fire police.

A driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Walter Francis Trainor, 48, of Kunkletown, was cited about 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the state police barracks along SR209 in Towamensing Township.

Mahoning Township police reported on Thursday, Oct. 11, Lauren Sherry, 18, of Lehighton, and a 17-year-old female were cited for retail theft at the Walmart store.

They allegedly attempted to steal $46.47 in merchandise by concealing the items in a purse while inside the restroom.

A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 12:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 484 Blue Mountain Road, in Wayne Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a 46-year-old female and Shawn Donohue, 49, both of Schuylkill Haven, were at the residence and became involved in a verbal argument. During the altercation the female grabbed a leather laptop computer case and attempted to look through it.

Tamaqua police have released details of a pedestrian versus vehicle accident in the borough on Thursday morning.

According to the police report, Paula Bower, 41, of 224 W. High St., Coaldale, was backing out of a parking spot at the Turkey Hill Minute Mart, 330 E. Broad St., when she heard a loud bang. Bower stopped her vehicle and looked, but couldn't see anyone/anything in her field of vision. A witness, Michael Vadyak of Tamaqua, agreed with Bower.
