A man was hurled through the truck cap glass of a pickup truck during an accident in Mahoning Township.

Mahoning Township Police said the accident happened at 11:35 p.m. on Friday, June 22, along Mill Road.

Police said Candace Tejera of Nesquehoning was traveling south on Mill Road at an apparent high rate of speed in a 1990 Jeep Comanche. She lost control of the vehicle in a curve, and crossed over the center of the roadway.

An Allentown man is facing charges for an incident in Slatington.

Borough police said about 10 p.m. on June 22 officers responded to the area of W. Church and Sixth sts., for an intoxicated male. On scene they found Ryan Slocki, 28, of 825 Marshall St.

As a result of an investigation police charged Slocki with possession of a controlled substance-cocaine, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct.

A Summit Hill man was charged twice after he caused a scene on May 15 and 16.

According to Summit Hill police, officers received a report of a disturbance at 128 W. Hazard St., Apartment 108. Upon investigation, it was determined that the disturbance was caused by Harry Foerster Jr., 49, of the above residence. He was charged with disorderly conduct.

On May 16, police responded to a report of an intoxicated person in the area of 10 S. Pine St. Upon arrival, officers found Foerster heavily intoxicated. He was charged with public drunkenness.

The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that a third man from Reading pleaded guilty Tuesday before Senior United States District Judge James M. Munley to aiding and abetting an armed bank robbery.

According to United States Attorney Peter J. Smith, Orlando Luis Velez, Jr., 24, of Reading, admitted to participating in an armed bank robbery that occurred at the Union Bank and Trust in West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County, on April 18, 2011.

Disorderly conduct

David Yenser, 29, of 132 Avenue A, Palmerton, was cited for disorderly conduct. The violation occurred on June 19 at 10:08 p.m. in the 100 block of Avenue A.


Criminal charges were filed against Derick Hymans, 20, of 217 B, S. Third St., Lehighton, for habitual offender, driving under suspension, careless driving, and speeding. The incident occurred on June 11 at 10:45 a.m. on SR248 east.

Both sides in an argument were cited by police.

State police at Frackville said Jennifer L. Swope, 26, and Marc Anthony Greenaway, 25, both of 174 Market St., Cumbola, Blythe Township, engaged in a verbal argument about 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, at their residence.

The argument eventually turned physical, troopers said. Both were issued citations for harassment.

Two area women were cited for public drunkenness after they caused a disturbance in Summit Hill.

The first incident occurred on April 12 at 11 p.m. Officers received a report of a disturbance in the units block of West Ludlow Street. Upon arrival, they observed Christina Rodriguez, 22, of 305 W. Abbott St., Lansford, to be highly intoxicated.

State police at Frackville are investigating a robbery and assault incident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Schuylkill County. Troopers said the incident occurred between 3 and 3:15 p.m. at a farmhouse at 293 Orchard Road, in Ryan Township.

Troopers said at the time listed two males arrived at the above location and kicked in a side door to the home. They then entered the property and removed copper tubing from the basement area. They also took several power tools from the home and placed them on the back porch.

Nesquehoning police reported on the following citations issued by officers.

Speeding tickets were issued by Officer Timothy Wuttke along state Routes 93 and 209, with speeds reaching 81 miles-per-hour, in a 55, 56 in a 40, 58 in a 40, 74 in a 55, 72 in 55, and 78 in a 55. Citations were issued on June 11 and 17. Also a driving under suspension citation in the 400 block of W. Catawissa St., on June 17.

Officer Dane O'Brien issued a red light violation on June 16 at Mermon and Catawissa sts.

Two Summit Hill residents were cited for disorderly conduct in two separate incidents in Summit Hill.

The first incident occurred at 1:31 a.m., on April 23. Officers received a report of loud music coming from a residence at 39 W. Walter St. Upon arrival they tried to confront Lawrence Mustacchio, 53, of the above residence about the loud music but he refused to answer the door.

On May 17, at 5:14 p.m., police received a report of a disturbance at 243 E. Hazard St. Upon arrival, they learned that the resident of the home, Frank Melnick, 28, was causing a disturbance.
