Lansford police have issued traffic citations to the following people:

Shakietha McCullough, 33, of 915 Greenbrook Terrace, Tobyhanna, faces charges from an incident which took place on June 29. McCullough is charged with issuing a bad check to Ron's Auto Sales, Lansford. Charges were filed by Officer Christopher Matthew Ondrus and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police at (570) 645-5844 or (800) 452-1813.

Lawrence Stewart, 44, of 607 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place at about 9 p.m. Aug. 1.

Charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were filed by Officer Joshua Tom.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:

While on duty, Tom received a call from an unknown complainant that Stewart was drunk and flashing around a bag of marijuana. Stewart was reported to have purchased the drug from another, unknown younger male in the Turkey Hill parking lot.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a theft/lost incident at the Schuylkill Manor Nursing Home, located in East Norwegian Township.

Troopers said a resident of the home, Margaret Reynolds, 89, of Pottsville, reported her diamondique engagement ring went missing.

The incident occurred sometime between Aug. 24-31.

A Schuylkill County woman a facing theft by deception and retail theft counts following an incident that occurred on Saturday, Sept. 3.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Angella Eye, of Pottsville, was arrested at the BG's Value Market located in King's Plaza, in Norwegian Township.

Tamaqua police are investiagting a burglary reported to the department on Sunday.

David Fortin, 26, of 424 E. Broad St. (rear), called police at 9:31 p.m. Sunday to report that someone had entered his apartment. Entry was apparently made by pushing aside an air conditioning unit.

Once inside, the criminals ransacked the place and did a considerable amount of damage to Fortin's personal belongings.

State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a tailgate from a Schuylkill County business.

Troopers said the tailgate from a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was stolen while parked at EZ Pull junkyard parking lot in East Brunswick Township, sometime between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 27.

The truck is owned by Santo Louis Colon, 37, of Reading.

Lansford police are investigating a hit-and-run accident which took place in the borough.

On Aug. 14 at 1:10, Lonnie Ahner, of 831 E. Ridge St., reported his vehicle was hit while parked in front of the ambulance garage on Patterson Street. He reported that a silver vehicle, possibly a Toyota, struck the passenger side of his 2011 Subaru, causing damage from the front to the rear of the vehicle. Video surveillance in the area recorded the vehicle traveling west on Patterson Street, striking the car, and then continuing down Patterson Street.

The Lansford Police Department has been investigating numerous thefts from vehicles and homes throughout the summer. The thefts have been occurring at all times of the day and night. Items that have been taken range from loose change to laptops to GPS units.
