A Lansford man is facing several charges following an incident in Nesquehoning.

Borough Officer Timothy Wuttke was dispatched to 42 E. Catawissa St., about 4:39 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, for a report of a burglary.

On scene he spoke with the homeowner, Linda Green, who said her residence was entered between 1:30 and 4 p.m. and removed was an Xbox 360 and seven or eight games.

Green also told Wuttke she suspected her nephew, David Lee Horack, 25, of 812 E. Patterson St., as being involved due to an ongoing dispute between her and Horack.

Jim Thorpe police reported a borough resident has been arrested on various drug-related charges.

Police said on Tuesday, Oct. 25, about 1 p.m. they, with agents from the state attorney general's office, executed a search warrant at 124 Center Ave. Prior to the warrant, police said, police and agents of the AG had allegedly made several controlled drug buys from William Gonzalez-Gonzalez, 28, of that address, at his residence.

During the search authorities seized an unspecified amount of narcotics from the home. Also found in the home was a 16-year-old female.

State police at Fern Ridge are seeking a suspect in a tire scattering incident.

Troopers said a male pulled in front of the former Rocky Mountain Landscaping business along SR534, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, about 1:27 p.m on Oct. 17. He threw 30 car tires from the bed of his pickup truck in front of the property. When he realized he was being watched, he fled the scene. troopers said.

Troopers said the suspect is about 40-50 years of age and was driving a older model Ford pickup truck, green in color.

David R. Cipko, 33, of 175 Penn St., Tamaqua, has been cited by borough police for allegedly making repeated, unwanted phone calls to the cell phone of Earl Hartranft of Coal Street.

The citation for harassment was filed after Cipko allegedly made 26 calls to Hartranft on Oct. 16.

Public drunkenness

Criminal charges were filed against Randy Dieter, 39, of 46 Weeping Willow Drive, Ashfield, for resisting arrest, defiant trespass, 3 counts of persistent disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. The incident occurred on Oct. 14 at 8:39 p.m. in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue.

DUI

Criminal charges were filed against Ryan Eckhart, 26, of 1135 Church Drive, Palmerton, for DUI, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred on Oct. 2 at 12:53 a.m. in the 1400 block of Mauch Chunk Road.

Two suspects in a tire-slashing incident in Schuylkill County are being sought.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred about 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Sterman Masser Potato Farms, located at 2 Fear Not Rd., in Hubley Township.

Troopers said a male and a female arrived at the location at the time and date stated. The female proceeded to slash the tires on a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu which was parked alongside the building.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Monroe County residence.

Troopers said a home at 9 South Lane, Jackson Township, was entered sometime between Sept. 25-30. Removed was $5,710 worth of tools belonging to Gino Selmana, 39, of New York, N.Y. The tools included nail guns, air compressors, saws and various hand tools. Some of the tools may have the initial "GS" on them.

The home was not secured, troopers noted. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.

One of two drivers involved in a crash about 7:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the intersection of Valley Road and SR4007, in Cass Township, Schuylkill County, will be charged.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said James W. Hogan, 53, of Ashland, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on 4007 and failed to yield at a stop sign. He entered the intersection where his vehicle struck a 1996 Ford Econoline 250 truck driven westbound on 4007 by David M. Osatchuck, 49, of Auburn.

A Carbon County resident is facing various drug charges after police found marijuana plants growing on his property and illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in his home.

State police at Lehighton said troopers went to the residence of Donald Warakomski, of the 200 block of Pin Oak Rd., in Lehighton, East Penn Township, on Tuesday, Oct. 25, about 2:07 p.m. after receiving a complaint from a neighbor that he observed marijuana plants growing on Warakomski's property.

The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board has cited a Carbon County business for violating the state liquor code.

Palm Beverages Inc., 619 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, was cited for sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor. The alleged offense occurred on Aug. 30.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones.
