State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a burglary that happened at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 24 in Weissport.

The victim is a 24-year-old female who lives on White Street.

Police said four males, one of which was wearing a dark-colored hoodie, forced their way into the home. Once inside, at least one of the acturs punched the victim, knocking her to the floor. The intruders then stole a television set and fled the scene in a gray or silver-colored vehicle, possibly a Nissan Maxima.

Gerald Heffner, 49, of Sheppton, has been arrested by state police at the Frackville barracks on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said the charge is a result of an accident at 10:10 p.m. Dec. 20 on Route 924 in Gilberton.

Police said he was driving a vehicle that struck a concrete barrier, causing it to sustain a flat tire and become disabled.

Police said Heffner showed signs of intoxication and was transported to the state police barracks for a breath test., which revealed his blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit.

Timothy Alan Moyer, 40, of Lower Macungie Township, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of an incident at 12:02 a.m. Dec. 1 at the intersection of Kernsville Road and Hickory Lane in Lowhill Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said he was stopped for traffic violations after which time police said multiple indicators of impairment were observed.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks have issued two press releases relating to an incident that happened between 10 p.m. Dec. 21 and 8 a.m. dec. 22 at a soccer field located near Christ United Lutheran Church, Barry Township.

Police said the victim is Forrest L. Shadle, 83, of Lavelle.

Police said an unknown vehicle, either a SUV or a truck, which had been traveling west on Airport Road, exited the road, struck no parking signs and a fence, and entered a soccer field before fleeing the scene.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said charges have been filed against two Tennessee men after police uncovered suspected marijuana candy during a traffic stop at 9:43 a.m. Dec. 17 on Interstate 78 in Upper macungie Township.

Charges were Anton Garrison Moton and Daequon Charles Davis, both 29.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating a theft incident that happened between Dec. 18-21 in Upper Milford Township.

The victim is Joyce Nishnic of the 3500 block of Quarry Drive, Emmaus.

She told police someone entered her residence and removed her hearing aid cleaning equipment.

Justin Reed, 31, of Schuylkill Haven, has been arrested by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks on charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Police said he was driving a box truck west on Rt. 443 in Wayne Township at 7:53 a.m. Dec. 22 when he fell asleep behind the wheel. The vehicle traveled across the double yellow line into the eastbound lane of travel before going onto the south berm striking a porch. Police said he was uninjured and the truck sustained minor damage.

A Chalfont man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Dec. 21 at about 9;30 a.m. at the intersection of Kunkletown and Weir Lake roads in Saylorsburg.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said John J. Mugavero, 48, was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, to be treated for injuries, after which time he was then transported to the state police barracks where he was processed for driving under the influence of alcohol.

A 17-year-old Lehighton boy is facing drug-related charges as a result of a vehicle stop at 10 p.m. Dec. 19 on Long Run Road in Franklin Township.

Police said the teen was operating a 2002 Saturn CP when he was stopped for several Title 75 violations, after which time police learned he was drivnig while under the influence of drugs.

Police said drugs were also discovered in plain view inside the vehicle.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said a man reported missing on Dec. 21 was found to ne alive and well on Dec.22.

Police said they were notified on Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. that Robert L. Major, 66, of 167 Rustic Road, Kresgeville, was missing for four days. At the time, police said it was reported to them Major was last seen on Dec. 17 at a residence in Easton. At the time, he informed friends he was going home to Kresgeville. When he was not seen in four days, he was reported missing.

But police issued a press release the next day saying Major had been located.
