Paul Derlunas and Laura Tatusko

The engagement of Laura Tatusko of Nesquehoning, to Paul Derlunas of Whitehall, has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michael and Virginia Tatusko of Nesquehoning. She is a 2006 graduate of Panther Valley High School and a 2010 graduate of Wilkes University. She is currently employed as a substitute teacher.

Sarah Elizabeth Graham

A daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Graham, was born to Julie and Stuart Graham of Van Wyck, S.C.; at 2:14 a.m., on Oct. 17, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center, Pineville in Charlotte, N.C. She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces; and measured 19 inches long.

The new baby was welcomed home by her big sister, Rachel Jane, 4; and her big brother, Stuart James, 2.

Maternal grandparents are John and Jane Halenar of Jim Thorpe.

Paternal grandparents are Terry and Genie Graham of Van Wyck, S.C. The paternal great-grandmother is Genie White of Charlotte, N.C.

Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Jones

Christine Marie Homcha, daughter of Steve and Marge Homcha of Nesquehoning, and Kyle Jones, son of Jack and Eileen Jones of Barnesville, were united in marriage during a Mass and wedding ceremony held on May 28, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Nesquehoning. The Rev. Anthony Drouncheck officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Brittany Homcha of Nesquehoning as her maid of honor.

Zackary JohnZelinsky

A son, Zackary John Zelinsky, was born at 12:51 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown, to Marcy and Jay Zelinsky of Palmerton. He weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 21 inches long.

The new baby was welcomed by an older sister, Alexandria, 15.

Maternal grandparents are Bruce and Gail Connell of Palmerton.

Paternal grandmother is Susan Zelinsky of Palmerton.

The Summit Hill High School Class of 1957 will observe its 55th-year reunion in May 2012.

The highlight will be the reunion luncheon, which starts at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 24 at the Mahoning Valley Country Club restaurant, preceded by a reception at noon.

The eight deceased members of the 42-member class will be cited during a memorial ceremony. They are: Helen Daderko, Wallace Kleckner, Diane Zimmerman Lambert, Peter Matrician, Patrick Rutch, Helen Ambrose Sahr, Roger Troeder and Eugene Yasson.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Miller

Carol and Gary Miller of Slatington recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Nov. 26, 1961 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Slatington, by the Rev. Earl Kreidler.

Mrs. Miller is the former Carol Henry, daughter of the late Mark and Erma Henry of Slatington. Her husband is the son of the late David and Erma Miller of Laurys Station, Pa.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Boyle

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Boyle of Coaldale recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on Nov. 17, 1951 in SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church by the late Monsignor Nicholas Terna.

Mrs. Boyle is the former Julia Hutta, daughter of the late Paul and Mary Hutta. Mr. Boyle is the son of the late Donald and Grace Boyle. They are the parents of four children: Joseph of Bethlehem, Thomas of Tamaqua, Susan Lopata of Nesquehoning, and MaryKay Horvath of Summit Hill. They also have 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
