The 32nd annual reunion of the descendants of George and Lillie (Eaches) Walck will take place at the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club, beginning at 11 a.m. Aug. 28.

The business meeting will begin at 1 p.m.

Guests are asked to bring a covered dish or dessert and an item for the Chinese Auction or the cakeWalck, as well as recipes for inclusion in the family cookbook.

The 69th annual Marsh Family Reunion will be held on Aug. 14, at Indian Trail Park, Pavilion 1. The meal will begin at 12:30 p.m. A business meeting will convene at 1:30 p.m.

Families attending are asked to bring either a salad or dessert for the event. Family members with the last name beginning with A through M should bring a salad; N through Z should bring a dessert.

Prizes for youngest male and female, oldest male and female, traveling the farthest, the most recently married couple, longest married couple, and the largest family present will be awarded.

Mr. and Mrs. David Chiavaroli

Lindsay Shoff, daughter of Glenn and Mary Karen Shoff of Tamaqua, became the bride of David Chiavaroli, son of Daniel R. and Gayle Chiavaroli of Nazareth, on July 2, 2011, at St. John's UCC, Nazareth. The Rev. Curtis Kemmerer officiated the double ring ceremony. Susan Frickert was the organist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Candice Semasek of Mojave, Calif., formerly of Tamaqua; and Elisha Kitchen of Hancock, Mich, as her maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Erin Strouse of Easton, Ashley Milkovitz of Allentown and Christa Miller of Tamaqua.

Lily Rose and Gracie Lynn Costenbader

Twin daughters, Lily Rose Costenbader and Gracie Lynn Costenbader, were born on May 27, 2011 to Jennifer and David Costenbader of Palmerton at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.

Lily was 0born at 12:09 a.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 19 inches long.

Gracie was born at 12:14 a.m. She weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 17 inches long.

The babies were welcomed home by an older sibling, Aubrey, who is a year old.

Maternal grandparents are Jeffrey George and Carolyn Smiley.

Paternal grandparents are Ronald and Rose Costenbader.

Rev. David and Beverley Knoebel

The Rev. David and Beverley Knoebel of Hometown recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married in Zion Lutheran Church in Tamaqua on June 24, 1961.

Beverley is the daughter of the late John and Mae Barton. David is the son of the late Rev. Arthur and Marion Knoebel.

A service of celebration was held on June 26 in the Muhlenberg College Chapel.

The 79th Annual Reunion of the Strohl Family will be held Sunday, Aug. 7 at the Palmerton Memorial Park beginning at 1 p.m.

Family members are asked to bring a covered dish. Sodas and hot dogs will be available for purchase.

A brief business meeting will be held immediately after lunch. Bring cakes for the cakewalk and a small prize for bingo.

Please bring old family pictures and other Strohl mementos for discussion.

Agnes Josephine Kopec

Agnes Josephine Kopec, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community, recently celebrated her 92nd birthday.

She was born on July 18, 1919 in Harwood, Pa. Agnes also resided in Treskow, Hazleton, West Hazleton and Weatherly. She was married to Peter Kopec in 1944 and they were married for 33 years until his passing in 1977.

Agnes worked as an examiner in Perfect Maid and Tony & Carmella's dress factories. She is a member of the ILGWU and Transfiguration church in West Hazleton.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder of 313 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, will celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary on July 29. They were married in Zion Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, by the late Rev. Charles Schlitzer.

Mrs. Snyder is the former Joan Schlosser. She is retired after working 25 years as the Tamaqua borough secretary.

Her husband is a disabled veteran with over 16 years of service in the U.S. Army. Retired, he was last employed as plant superintendent at the former Diversified Metals Corp., Hometown.
