To all veterans,

Today I'm asking you to think about joining a veterans organization. I know people have ideas of what these organizations are about.Most of these are wrong. Right now many organizations are in the danger of going away. Too many veterans are gone.If the membership gets too low, the organization will be gone. We need new members, but even more than that we need new ideas. You can make the organization better. We want to help the areas we're in. But fewer members means less things we can help with.Schools don't teach about the flag and love of country like veterans can. Veterans donate to food pantries, churches and other organizations. They help those with medical problems and do a lot more.But they need members to help and younger members with new ideas.
