Corey Herring, 30, of Barnesville, is facing charges of simple assault and harassment as a result of an incident at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on North Apple Street in Ryan Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said he was arraigned before Magisterial District Justice David Rossi, who set bail at $5,000

R.O.R.Police said the victim is a 30-year-old female from Weatherly who told officers a verbal dispute turned physical in nature, at which time Herring punched her in the eye causing a minor injury.
