Cartwright, Moylan plan debates

Scranton Congressional candidates U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright, and Republican challenger David Moylan, Schuylkill County coroner, have agreed to participate in two debates before the Nov. 4 general election.

A live debate will be held on Oct. 29 at the WVIA Studios in Pittston Township, and a second debate, which has yet to be scheduled, will be hosted by WLVT (PBS39) in Bethlehem."I look forward to the opportunity to discuss the many critical issues facing northeastern Pennsylvania and the nation. It's important for voters to see and hear that they have clear choices in this election," Cartwright said.Cartwright has represented Pennsylvania's 17th congressional district since being sworn in on Jan. 3, 2013. The district includes all of Schuylkill County and portions of Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, and Northampton Counties. Cartwright serves on the House committee on natural resources and the House committee on oversight and government reform.
