State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 125 and Molleystown Road, in Tremont Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Michael T. Gipe, 48, of Jonestown, Lebanon County, was driving a 2008 Dodge Caliber southbound on 125 and approaching the intersection as David S. Aungst, 57, of Pine Grove, driving a 1986 International Harvester tractor pulling a logging trailer, was making a right turn onto 125 from Molleystown Road.Gipe was slowing to make a right turn but going too fast for conditions and struck the tractor with the front end of the Caliber.No one was injured. The Caliber had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Gipe for driving at an unsafe speed.Troopers also reported on a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 6:08 a.m. on Jan. 14 along Bethel Road, in Pine Grove Township.Troopers said Thomas L. Reimert, 19, of Mohrsville, Berks County, was driving a 1995 Ford F150 pickup northbound when the truck went onto the berm. The truck continued straddling the shoulder for about 68 yards before striking a utility pole with the front bumper. After impact Reimert lost control with the truck going down an embankment and crashing through several trees before coming to rest about 30 feet down the embankment and against a large tree.Reimert was not injured. The truck had to be towed. Reimert was cited.
