Trinity happenings

Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, will celebrate Sunday worship with holy communion at 9 a.m. Interim minister Rev. Donald Hayn presides. Coffee fellowship follows.

The church office will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.

Community Vacation Bible School is planned for June 16-20, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for youngsters ages 3 through grade six. The theme is "Everywhere Fun Fair. Where God's World Comes Together." Call the church office at (610) 377-4303 to register your child's age. Registration is free.

The congregation has set up an account at PNC Bank for those who wish to assist church secretary Sharen Ace, who lost her home to a fire in April. Donations can be taken to the Lehighton PNC branches at either 154 S. 1st ST or 1279 Blakeslee Blvd. Any check that is received at the church office on Sharen's behalf will be deposited to the PNC account. The name of the account is "Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church – Sharen Ace Fire Fund."

Jack and Jill Pre-School is a ministry of Trinity, located next to the church at 230 Iron St. Registration for the 2013-14 school year is now open. Beltzville Lions to meet

Beltzville Lions will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Ss. Peter and Paul School Hall, Third Street, Lehighton. Anyone interested in learning more about becoming a member, call (610) 533-9311.
