The final Guiding Star for the Palmerton Concourse Club year is Alexandria Christine Quinn of Palmerton, the daughter of Nancy and Steve Quinn.

She enjoys playing field hockey and spending time with her family, friends and three brothers: Mark, Nicholas and Michael.

Her interests are volunteering, helping others, baking, reading and computer learning. School activities include Leo Club, of which she is treasurer; Student Council; Yearbook, of which she is treasurer; National Honor Society, of which she is treasurer; Future Business Leaders of America; Environmental Club and Student Forum.

Alexandria's community activities include youth representative of church council, altar server, cup bearer and tutoring.

She plans to attend Moravian College to major in nursing with an ultimate goal of becoming a nurse practitioner.

The Guiding Star is chosen by a committee of high school teachers of Palmerton Area School District. She must be a female in the top 25 percent of the senior class and involved in both school and community activities.

The club presented her with a certificate, an engraved Guiding Star charm and $100.
