June 7, 1982 Scott Hillegass deliveres the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Palmerton a 2-1 Lehigh Valley League win over Northwestern. Mike Sander walks, moves to second on a sacrifice bunt and steals third before Hillegass singles through the right side to plate the winning run. Sander goes all 10 innings on the mound, allowing just six hits, to earn the pitching victory. Scott Levandusky accounts for the other Palmerton run when he walks and eventually scores on a wild pitch.
