Nicole Elizabeth Hlavaty and Conor Scott Sedam were married on Sept. 2, 2012 at The Little Stone Church on Mackinac Island in northern Michigan.

The Rev. Dr. Vincent Carroll performed the ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Ronald and LaRae Hlavaty of Lehighton. The bridegroom is the son of Scott and Jana Sedam of Novi, Mich.Tara Haas of Denver, Colo. was chosen as the "executive vice president of bridal affairs." Bridesmaids included Alicia Cortese, Bethlehem; Kimberly Hager, Harleysville; and Kiernan Sedam, Chicago, Ill.Tyler Sedam, Austin, Texas was the best man. Groomsmen included Jim Boss, South Holland, Ill.; Ryan Prendergast, Birmingham, Mich.; and Dylan Sedam of Novi.Guests were greeted at the church by Megan and Kylie Boss. Peter Desmarais served as the usher. Ceremony readings were presented by Nikole Desmarais and Tim Rohde.Following the ceremony, guests traveled by horse and carriage (one of the only modes of transportation on the island) to Mission Point Resort for the wedding reception festivities.The new Mrs. Sedam is a 2000 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. She received a bachelor of science in kinesiology from Penn State University in 2003 and a master of science in occupational therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2006.She is currently employed as an occupational therapist and program specialist at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.Mr. Sedam is a 2003 graduate of Miami University of Ohio, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in business.He is currently employed as a project manager at O'Connor Brehm Custom Homes. He is also employed as a high school and park district ice hockey coach in Wilmette, Ill.The newlyweds reside in Chicago, and will honeymoon in the spring of this year.
