Franklin crash leaves four people injured

A two-car crash in Franklin Township on Wednesday afternoon has left four people injured.

The accident happened on Interchange Road (SR209), just east of Hemlock Street.Township police said Robert Neff of Palmerton was driving a 2005 Chevrolet pickup southbound on SR209 when he drove off the right side of the road and lost control. His vehicle re-entered the road, started to spin, and crossed into the opposing lane of traffic.Neff's vehicle struck a 2003 Ford Thunderbird traveling north on SR209, operated by Vicki Sestok of Palmerton, according to police.Sestok and a passenger in her vehicle, Evelyn Strohl of Palmerton, were transported to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem by Medevac helicopter.Neff and a passenger in his vehicle, a minor not named, were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by ambulance.Franklin Township police are investigating the incident. Charges are pending.
