A Schuylkill County business was cited by the Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Sarge's Soup & Sandwiches Inc, trading as Sarge's, 538 N. Centre St., Pottsville, was cited for selling, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to one male minor, 20 years of age.The violations occurred on April 14 and 15 and other occasions from November 2008 through April 2009.The business was also cited for permitting one male minor, 20 years of age, to frequent the licensed premises.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
