State police at Fern Ridge said both sides in a family dispute were cited.

The incident occurred about noon on Thursday, March 1, along Gilbert Road, just south of SR209, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.Troopers said Charlene A. Sylvia, 47, and Brittney Leigh Sylvia, 17, both of Effort, were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical. Brittney "got in the face" of Charlene and pushed her. Charlene struck Brittney in the nose causing it to bleed.Both were cited for harassment, troopers said.
