The 18U Pocono Pride girls fastpitch softball team recently won the 2012 Hopewell Invitational in Hopewell, N.J. The team, which won all six games played at the tourney, also placed second in the Summer Breeze Classic in Allentown. The team has girls from six school districts, including Pleasant Valley and Palmerton. Rose Tavianini is also a member of the team.
