Hasna Saoud of Tamaqua credits her seatbelt for helping her survive a crash Saturday in front of the Jamesway Plaza on SR209 in Tamaqua. Saoud was on her way to church when her 2007 Subaru Legacy hit a slick spot and and she lost control. Responding were Tamaqua Ambulance, East End Fire and American Hose fire companies, rescue and police. Fire Police detoured traffic around the scene. Officer Peter Wysochansky is investigating.
