Palmerton head coach Don Delich gave his Lady Bombers a wakeup call at halftime on Friday night. And it worked.

Down by six to Salisbury at intermission, Kelsey Hay scored 13 of her game-high 20 points in the second half to help the Bombers pull away for a 46-37 Colonial League win."We came out and played some in the third quarter and then continued it into the fourth," said a relieved Delich afterwards. "Our first half was not us. I gave them a little grief at halftime, we woke up and played like we could play in the second half."Hay, who committed two fouls in the first half, picked up her third early in the second half, but played smart the rest of the way."She's a player," said Delich. "We moved Kelsey down low to start the second half and we made a conservative effort to get the ball inside. I thought we were quicker than them and it paid off."The Falcons (8-7, 4-6) went up by as much as eight in the first half as Megan Hrebik scored four in the first quarter and added six more in the second stanza for 10 of her team-high 15 points Megan Eripret and Hailey Undercuffler each had five to back her up.In the third quarter, the Bombers (9-7, 4-6) went on a five-point spurt and eventually tied it as Hay had seven more and Kelsey Eaton came off the bench for four. Hrebik and Eripret had five apiece to account for the 10 Salisbury points with the score tied at 32-32 entering the final eight minutes.Palmerton ran off the first five points of the final quarter and the Falcons never recovered. Hay finished with six in the quarter, while Jade Farquhar drove the lane for four of her own."We've been playing steady," said Salisbury head coach Bob Mazziotta. "We just came off two games (Catasauqua and Pius X) where we overmatched our opponents and gained a little confidence.
