Why vote when good ole boys rule?

Dear Editor:

In reference to the appointment of Mr. William O'Gurek to the commissioner vacancy when "crybaby" Mr. Charles Getz resigned was a miscarriage of justice to the voters of Carbon County. The voters made it clear they didn't want Mr. O'Gurek and their wishes should be upheld. If Mr. Getz didn't wish to remain a commissioner whey did he seek re-election? Something seems a little strange about that.Seems like the good ole boys had a backup plan. If people can't see what was done here they better jump up and down because their eyes are stuck.I have nothing personal against Bill O'Gurek as I know him or Charles Getz from my years working in the postal service. I don't think those political fliers sent out about Mr. O'Gurek had anything to do with his loss in the election. I think the Packerton Yards and the sale of the nursing home doomed them.Fair is fair and in my opinion this is not fair to the voters of Carbon County.I, for one, am going to find it very difficult to vote in any more county elections. If common sense is so common, how come so few people have it?In closing, I wish people would see politicians are like baby diapers. They have to be changed often or they begin to stink.Sincerely,Rich "Pup" Armbruster175 W. 13 St., Jim Thorpe
