Sara Jones' 22-point performance sparked Northwestern to a 44-39 Colonial League victory over visiting Wilson.

Jani Swiatek paced the Warriors with 13 points.

Northwestern improves to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the CL.

Tamaqua-Pottsville

Four Tamaqua players reached double figures in scoring to lead the Lady Raiders to a 55-29 Schuylkill League Division 1 win over host Pottsville.

The victory was the first league win of the season for Tamaqua (3-5; 1-3), which used a 16-3 second quarter to pull away from the Crimson Tide.

Maria Streisel tallied a game-high 16 points for the winners while Amanda Solt contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds. Kayla Hope added 14 points and five steals while Christine Streisel chipped in with 10 points and seven boards.

In the JV game, the Raiders suffered a 40-37 overtime loss despite 11 points from Jaclin Valasek.

Shenandoah Valley held Weatherly to single digits in every single quarter to run away with a 50-20 Schuylkill League win.

The Blue Devils' Ali Semanchick led all scorers with 17 points.

A 20-point fourth quarter surge pushed Whitehall to a 47-36 non-conference win over visiting Pleasant Valley.

The Zephyrs' Kayla Bet recorded seven of her game-high 15 points in the final stanza. The Zephyrs finished 10-for-11 from the foul line in the fourth.

The Bears' Kelecia Harris also had a 15-point performance. Jordan Meckes added 10 points.

In the JV game, Pleasant Valley defeated Whitehall, 35-27.

The Lady Raiders scored a 101-69 win while the boys dropped a 90-70 decision.

Joann Butkus (50 Free, 100 Fly) and Caroline Kanaskie (100 and 200 Free) were multiple winners for the Lady Raiders, while Megan Wagner took the 100 Backstroke.

Despite the loss, the Raiders' Zak Yachera won the 200 Free and the 100 Breast.
