Matthew Hausman, 24, of 57 Race St., Jim Thorpe, has been arrested by borough police on charges of simple assault and harassment.

The charges stem from an incident on Nov. 6 of last year.Police said they were called on the above date at 6:41 p.m. to the emergency room of the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, where a Jared Novy told them he had been assaulted by Hausman. Novy told police Hausman arrived unannounced at his residence at 402 South St. and began attacking him, striking him three times with a closed fist in the head.Police said they interviewed Hausman, who admitted to the assault,
