Kristen Halenar, a sophomore at Penn State University, University Park, where she is majoring in nursing, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2011 semester, achieving a 3.84 GPA.

Halenar is the daughter of Bob and Beth Halenar of Summit Hill and the granddaughter of Betty Marcinko of Lansford. She is a 2010 graduate of Marian Catholic High School.
