Bus 'egged' after basketball game

A school bus carrying a basketball team following a game at a Schuylkill County school was "egged" this week.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred about 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, along SR61 northbound in the area of Renninger's Market, in North Manheim Township.Troopers said a bus carrying players of the Pine Grove High School boys' basketball team had just left Blue Mountain High School, located along SR443, and was entering onto SR61 when the eggs were thrown at the bus, striking the passegner side and the windshield.The bus driver pulled the bus over, a 2007 Thomas model owned by Newhurst Inc., Rock Rd., Pine Grove, at a nearby service station.The driver, not identified by troopers, and some of the passengers in the bus, cleaned the windshield then proceeded back to Pine Grove High School.No one was injured in the incident.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 593-2000.
