An oven fire in the bakery section of the Boyer's Food Market in Lansford resulted in the evacuation of customers and employees for over an hour Friday morning.

Boyer's employees were quick to limit the damages to one section of the bakery, which is located in the rear of the market.Area firefighters who responded placed multiple exhaust fan at exit and entry points to expel the smoke from the market.Responding in addition to Lansford and Coaldale Police were fire companies from Lansford, Summit Hill and Coaldale. Also responding were Coaldale and Lansford fire police, as well as Lansford Ambulance.The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The market was closed while employees cleaned the market.No injuries were reported.
