LALLC regular meeting

Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at the Harvest Café at the Carbon Career and Technical Institute, Jim Thorpe.

Installation of officers for the 2011-2012 fiscal year will occur with PDG Chris Sweeney serving as installing officer.

Anna Mae Markley, 228 Indian Hill Road, Lehighton, recently celebrated her 95th birthday.

She has three children, Larry and George Markley and Jan Markley Haydt, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She is the wife of the late Elliot "Sammy" Markley.
