Kristen Hendricks Eckman, Lehighton, and Michael Calnon, Williamstown, Pa., have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of David (Jack) and Cheryl Hendricks of Nesquehoning.She is a 1993 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and is currently a student at

L.C.C.C. She is employed by Blue Mountain Health System in Palmerton.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Jane Calnon and the late Thomas (Buddy) Calnon of Williamstown. He is a 1986 graduate of Williams Valley High School and a 1991 graduate of Penn State University. He is employed by the Commonwealth Court in Harrisburg since 1991.A wedding is being planned for 2012.
