Brother and sister achieve dean's list

Stephen and Rachel Sverchek of Lehighton were recently notified by their respective schools that they have attained the dean's list for the fall 2010 semester.

Stephen attends Duquesne University and is a student in the A.J. Palumbo School of Business with a major in marketing and a minor in entrepreneurship. He received a 3.81 grade point average for the fall semester.He is currently an intern with Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP). ADP is an international financial services company and was recently recognized by FORTUNE as one of the most admired companies in a recent survey. Stephen was also notified recently that he will be inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society in February. Golden Key is a global honor society established to recognize college students for their academic excellence. The society's core mission is to enable members to realize their potential through academics, leadership and service.Stephen has also recently submitted his application for acceptance to the Peace Corps. He will graduate in May.Rachel attends Ithaca College and is a student in the Park School of Business majoring in international business. She received a perfect 4.0 for the fall semester.She is currently completing an internship with the Jim Thorpe National Bank.Rachel is a member of the Oracle Honor Society and the Sigma Epsilon Society, a business honor society and is also a member of the American Marketing Association. She is a Junior at Ithaca College.Stephen and Rachel are the children of Mark and Anne Sverchek of Lehighton and the grandchildren of the late John and Veronica Sverchek of Lansford and the late William and Anna Corkill of Jim Thorpe.
