The team of Tom Tirpak, Terry Fritz, Jim Batman and Stanley Kozuch combined efforts to claim the top prize in the 24th Annual Diligence Fire Company Golf Tournament held July 30 at the Mahoning Valley Country Club, Lehighton.

The foursome recorded a score of 56 to win the "scramble" tournament, finishing six strokes ahead of their closest challengers.Second place went to the team of William Luksavage, Andy Fredley, Joe Petrole and Keith Morey. They carded a 62.Finishing in third place was the team of Richard Porembo, Bob Porambo, Fenton Black Sr. and Joseph Piosa. It also tallied 62.The closest to the pin competition was won by Clayton Schlier while the longest drive contest was won by Jay Michalik.Proceeds from the event benefit the Summit Hill Fire Department.
