Tamaqua incident

A Hazleton man has been cited following an altercation in Tamaqua on Monday, Sept. 6.

At 7:27 p.m. officers were dispatced to 208 Orwigsburg St. for a reported domestic in progress, possibly involving four males and one female. At the scene patrolman Peter Wysochansky spoke with Trish Bruno, of 213 Orwigsburg St., who said her ex-boyfriend had been there and started an argument over the couple's child. The altercation allegedly became physical when Bruno refused to leave the area with the man, identified as Steven Reimiller, 25. At that point Reimiller began arguing with Randall Scholl, of 122 Center St.Scholl stated that Reimiller threw a punch at him and Scholl retaliated by biting Reimiller's left thumb. Reimiller then picked up his child and fled the scene in a green Pontiac Bonneville. Bruno declined to press charges against her ex, despite having a protection from abuse order against him.Charges of harassment were filed based on Scholl's statement.
