Brother, sister facing charges

A Monroe County brother and sister are facing charges following an incident that occurred in September.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on Sept. 16 officers were investigating a home invasion robbery at 503 Butz Lane in Tobyhanna Township. As part of the investigation police learned the robbery allegedly stemmed from a drug deal gone bad at the residence. Police later arrested Airmeil Bailey for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. At the time of the arrest Bailey was in possession of a large amount of U.S. currency in denominations and packaged consistent with drug delivery and sales, police said. While still investigating the incident Bailey's sister, Anesha Bailey, 20, of Pocono Summit, arrived on scene and claimed the money was hers and that she had saved it over a long period of time.A further investigation revealed that information was incorrect and that the money did in fact belong to her brother.Anesha Bailey was charged on Tuesday, Oct. 19, with hindering apprehension or prosecution, police said.
