Lamar Freeby is a long-time member of the Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions Club. He is now living in the Hometown Convalescent Home. The Lions decided to honor him for his service to the club by making a donation to the Parryville Fire Company. It will be put toward building a new office since the old office was where the handicap ramp is being built. On hand for the presentation were Wayne Engle, treasurer; Duane Hawk, president; Jamie Freeby, Lamar's grandson; and Danny Keiser, Parryville fire chief. Jamie said, "I appreciate this, everyone." Hawk said Lamar stored the club's tents when he first became a member until he could no longer use his garage. He was a resident of Parryville for many years.
