Dads with an insatiable appetite for muscle cars, street rods and classics are in luck.

The Father's Day Weekend Cruise & Picnic will be held Saturday at the Blue Mountain Ski Area.Sponsored by the Palmerton Pace-Makers, gates open at 11 a.m. The car cruise will be held from 4-5 p.m. Awards will be presented at 6 p.m.The 30-mile car cruise will start at the ski area and make its way through Aquashicola, Palmerton, Bowmanstown, and Kunkletown.There will also be crafts and fireworks, live entertainment, food and other activities.Terry Costenbader, Pace-Makers spokesman, said last year's event went so well, that organizers decided to again hold it at the ski area."The ski area asked us to come up and do a cruise night type of thing," he said. "We had 151 cars, and there was a lot of interest in doing the Rolling Cruise again."Costenbader said the event figures to be the perfect way for dads to spend their special day."I'm looking for a substantial turnout," Costenbader said. "We're going to do what we do and see what happens."Admission and parking are free.
