@$:Members of Lehighton Brownie Troop 329 saved their pennies, then donated the money to the Carbon County K-9 program. Pam Berger, co-leader, said collectively the girls saved $148.76 in pennies. Other members of the Brownie troop are Tatiana Gonzales, Jessica Hess, Elaina Moretz, Natalie Smith, Jenna Kroboth, and Caylie Hanf. Berger said this is the second year the girls in the troop saved money for an animal program. Last year they contributed to Pennies for Penguins at the Lehigh Valley Zoo.
