Summit Hill police charged two men after they were found to be under the influence of alcohol.

According to borough police, the first incident occurred on July 9, at 11:06 p.m. Police were in the area of East White Bear Drive when a vehicle, driven by Anthony Fitzgerald, 29, of 424 Hazle St., Tamaqua, passed them and failed to dim the high beams.Police initiated a traffic stop and it was determined that Fitzgerald was under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with driving while under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and for multiple beam road lighting equipment.The second incident occurred on July 25, at 6:40 a.m.Police were notified that a person was lying along side the guardrail on SR902.Upon investigation, it was determined that Daniel Fallon, 22, of 213 W. Ridge St., Lansford, was under the influence of alcohol.He was charged with public drunkenness.
