The following civil complaints were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

LVNV Funding, 15 S. Main St., Greenville, S.C., filed against Rachel Smith, 61 Britt Drive, Lehighton, seeking $954.98.

Bill owed

The Service Team, 6565 Interchange Rd., Lehighton, filed an action against Noor Hameed, 532 Bear Creek Drive, Jim Thorpe, alleging he owes a bill for construction materials. Sought is $3,828.82 plus interest, costs and fees.

Mortgage foreclosures

The following actions were filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.

Wells Fargo Bank filed against Juana and Walter Gonzalez, HC1 Box Lot 2, SR534, Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $186,631.47 and continuing interest.

US Bank National Association, 12650 Ingenuity Drive, Orlando, Fla., filed against Juan Matos and Gurgina Romanos, Box 343, Albrightsville, over property at 89 Pocahontas Lane, Penn Forest Township. Sought is $177,620.17 and continuing interest.

Household Finance Consumer Discount Co., 636 Grable Regency Blvd., Brandon, Fla., filed against Richard S. Hess, 1167 Third St., Palmerton, over property at that address. Sought is $192,045.21 and continuing interest.

GMAC Mortgage, 1100 Virginia Drive, Fort Washington, filed against Alexander B. and Linda C. Michie, 12 White Oak Rd., Nesquehoning, over property at that address. Sought is $124,839.02 and continuing interest.

Divorces started

Susan Vrablic, 75 Springhouse Lane, Palmerton, filed against Hugh Vrablic, same address. They were married Nov. 10, 1990.

Jason David Cope, 4445 Forest St., Lehighton, filed against Peggy Sue Cope, same address. They were married March 13, 1995.

Dog attack

Pamela and Charles Haydt, 109 Bear Creek Drive, Jim Thorpe, filed a civil complaint against Christine Trice and Darren Vance, both of 95 Bear Creek Drive, Jim Thorpe.

The suit states on Aug. 19, 2009, Pamela Haydt was walking near the defendants' property when she was allegedly attacked suddenly and viciously by a dog owned by the defendants causing injuries detailed in the suit.

Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 on each of two counts.

Injury suit

Lyanna M. Costenbader, 509 Mahoning St., Lehighton, filed a civil complaint against L&S Transportation Inc., 104 Hoffman Rd., Wind Gap.

The suit states that on July 8, 2008, the plaintiff was entering a van owned and operated by the defendant firm when she was allegedly caught on a defective running board which caused her to fall in the street sustaining injuries detailed in the suit.

Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000.
