The parents of Sarah Swankoski and Stephen Nesgoda have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ray and Patty Swankoski of Coaldale. She is also the granddaughter of Joseph and Peggy Rebarchak of Hazel Township and Irene and the late Raymond Swankoski of Hazleton. She is a 2006 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2010 graduate of Misericordia University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Bethlehem.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Michael Nesgoda of Lansford and Michele Nesgoda of Summit Hill. He is also the grandson of Teresa and the late Michael Dubosky of Summit Hill, and Roberta and the late William Nesgoda of Tamaqua. He is a 2004 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2008 graduate of Wilkes University, where he received a bachelor's degree in psychology. He is currently employed as a family based case manager at NHS Human Services in Bethlehem.A Nov. 5, 2011 wedding is planned.
