Since Johnny Appleseed's birthday is this Saturday, the first-grade class at Our Lady of the Angles Academy, Lansford, has been learning about and using apples throughout many of its lessons this week. The class tasted three different types of apples, graphed its favorites, and talked about adjectives to describe the different tastes. Those three types of apples were used to make applesauce, which was shared with the faculty. Here, a bright-eyed Erika Dubosky of Summit Hill, prepares her apple favorites for a taste test.
