A Monroe County teen is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 1 p.m. on Saturday along Lower Cherry Valley Road in Hamilton Township.

State police at Stroudsburg said a 17-year-old male from Saylorsburg caused damages to the vehicle of a 77-year-old man, also from Saylorsburg.

Police said the teen kicked the driver’s side door with his boot and hit the back right passenger window with a metal pipe, causing a scratch in the window.

He also broke the back window. Damages were estimated in excess of $500.

The teen was charged with criminal mischief - tampering with property. Troopers gave no reason for the actions of the teen in their report.
