Lehighton's 7th grade field hockey team finished the season unbeaten

MIDDLE SCHOOL FIELD HOCKEYEighth GradeES South-LehightonLehighton finished its regular season with a 1-0 Mountain Valley Conference victory over East Stroudsburg South.Robyn Cressley accounted for the Indians' lone goal with a first-half score from right in front of the Cavaliers' cage.Lehighton ended up with a 12-2-1 overall record, while ES South finished at 14-2 on the season.Seventh GradeES South-LehightonA 4-0 victory over East Stroudsburg South helped Lehighton record a program-best 12-0-2 overall record during the 2009 Mountain Valley Conference season.Krassia Mertz put the Indians on the board with an early first-half goal, while Amy Smith, Carissa Sevin and Brooke Blasiak all added second half scores in the win.The Indians' keeper Emily Steigerwalt preserved the shutout victory by grabbing three saves.
