The Rush Township Police Department is investigating a theft of a Blue Toshiba laptop, from 30 Wayne Ave., Hometown. Police responded to a burglary. The only thing taken was the laptop. The burglary was reported on Dec. 22.

Helene C Grutza, 34, of Barnesville, is facing felony retail theft charges after stealing $80.72 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. Rush Township Police reported the theft took place on Dec. 23.On Dec. 24 at 8:40 a.m., Colin T Houser, 23, Barnesville, struck a vehicle driven by Ashley Balliet in the area of SR54 and SR309. Houser left the scene and later called the police.Houser is facing numerous charges for leaving the scene of the accident.
