This week, Emmett McCall and Patrick Matsinko recap the fall sports season, which came to an end Saturday, and highlight the accomplishments of the Northwestern football, Panther Valley volleyball and Lehighton field hockey teams. We also had several signing ceremonies this week for area athletes, including Northern Lehigh's Calista Smoyer, who received a rifle scholarship to West Virginia, a Division 1 program. The winter sports season will be here before you know it, so check back next week as we start taking a look at area basketball, wrestling and swimming teams.
