• Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, 44 W White St, Summit Hill is offering Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 5-9. The theme is ROAR: Life is Wild, God is Good and is free to children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. It is a great opportunity to make new friends and engage in experiments, music, snacks and creative play. To register, call 570-645-5524 or come at 8:30 a.m. to register on the first day of VBS.

• St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Old Stage Road, Albrightsville, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 5-9, presents “ROAR Life is Wild, God is Good” for ages 4 through fifth grade. Come for new friends, amazing experiments, creative games, fun snacks, surprising adventures and incredible music. For more information, call Sara at 570-325-3340.

• Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 5-9. The theme is “Who’s Your Neighbor? Learning to Love Like Jesus.” Free registration for children ages 3 through sixth grade. • Bethany Wesleyan Church Lehighton, 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 7-9 in the Lehighton Grove and Rec Center. 610-767-1239.

• Emmanuel UCC, 509 Hamilton St., Bowmanstown, 6:30-8 p.m. Aug. 19-23. “Promises Given, Promises Kept,” open to children and adults. The mission is Bethany Children Helping Hands.

• St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, 8:45 a.m. to noon Aug. 19-23 in St. Joseph Church and social hall, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill. This is the church’s first VBS. Theme is “A Radical Ride on the Wings of Prayer.” Event is open to children prekindergarten 4 through fourth grade. There is a fee. To obtain a form, email Kathy Reaman at kreaman@ptd.net or Megan DeAngelo at meggdeangelo@yahoo.com. All forms and fees must be submitted to the parish office by no later than noon on Aug. 14. Forms and fees can be put in an envelope marked SJPV VBS and put in the collection basket, dropped off at the rectory at 118 N. Market St., Summit Hill or mailed to the aforementioned address. Parent and student volunteers from grades five through 12 are also needed. Adults must have all clearances. To become a volunteer, email Reaman or DeAngelo.
