• Emmanuel UCC, 509 Hamilton St., Bowmanstown, 6:30-8 p.m. Aug. 19-23. Promises Given, Promises Kept, open to children and Adults. The mission is Bethany Children Helping Hands.

• St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, 8:45 a.m. to noon Aug. 19-23 in the St. Joseph Church and social hall, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill. This is the church’s first VBS. Theme is “A Radical Ride on The Wings of Prayer.” Event is open to children prekindergarten 4 through fourth grade. There is a fee. To obtain a form, email Kathy Reaman at kreaman@ptd.net or Megan DeAngelo at meggdeangelo@yahoo.com. All forms and fees must be submitted to the parish office by no later than noon on Aug. 14. Forms and fees can be put in an envelope marked SJPV VBS and put in the collection basket, dropped off at the rectory at 118 N. Market St., Summit Hill or mailed to the aforementioned address.
