Tamaqua school board’s finance committee on Tuesday recommended approval of the 2018-19 Schuylkill Technology budget.

Business manager Connie Ligenza said the district’s contribution rate is $716,980, which represents an increase of $26,582.

The finance committee also recommended approving the renewing of its agreement for a one-year period beginning on July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.

In other business

The education committee recommended approval:

• To ratify the superintendent approval to have April 2, 2018 as an Act 80 day.

The board’s auxiliary committee recommended approval:

• Of the request of Roseann Weinrich to hold the 2018 Prom at Capriotti’s on May 5.
